Avantco SS-2R-HC 54" Stainless Steel Solid Door Reach-In Refrigerator

Only had this unit for 1 year and 1 month and it's already leaking water into the fridge...warranty is only for 1 year and you can't extend it. Don't buy AVANTCO products, they are terrible. We also bought a deli prep fridge / station and the compression blew. That's covered luckily but they can't get the compressor shipped for another 5-7 days!!! How am I supposed to run a cafe like that.

Not a great product at all. It is supposed to be self-defrosting, but on 2 separate occasions the unit has iced over causing the temperature to soar. Which, in turn, meant we had to throw out our produce. I would recommend spending the extra and buying a Beverage Air or True.

Had this for about a year and half. Used in a temperature stable area at a residence because we'd need two extra refrigerators for our combined households and this was perfect for about a year. Unit stopped maintaining temperature and now both the suction and discharge pressures are the same. I've since been to two restaurants with advantco refrigerators that said something to the effect of: "for beverages only not for storing food due to temperature". I now have a really fancy stainless steel pantry. Almost wish I could just plumb a glycol chiller to the heat exchanger. And I don't have to worry about no one working on a commercial appliance at a residence because every place I called wouldn't work on this brand.

As our business grew, so was our need for a bigger refrigerator. This refrigerator fit our needs perfectly. The shelves are easily adjustable and the full size pans fit perfectly.

Bought 3 of the Avantco reach in refrigerators and 2 of the prep coolers just 6 months back and all are leaking water. The company doesn't even have a direct line to reach for customer service. I wont be buying this again, nor would recommend. Unfortunately I even ignored the reviews before buying this stuff.

To say that I am more than just disappointed is an understatement. I purchased this Avantco Refrigerator at the end of March 2021 and within the two months of owning it I have had 4 service repairs, and the first one was done within the first week of owning it. Allegedly, the repairmen had “fixed” the issue. Yet here I am. Still having issues. The inner walls are covered in condensation (that is not supposed to happen), the set temperature rises on its own, and the gasket needed to be replaced…. The equipment is only 2 months old…this should not be happening at all. And to make matters worse, Webstaurant has truly not been helpful regarding the matter. As a longtime customer this is completely upsetting. I have always trusted Avantco and Webstaurant, but with this last purchase, my trust is beginning to wane. I wish I could say “I hope someone will resolve this issue soon”, but with what I have seen, hoping seems to be such a waste of time.

I’m a longtime customer of Webstaurant store, but just had a shocking experience. I purchased this Avantco fridge and a matching freezer. From the moment I plugged them in I was completely dissatisfied. It is extremely noisy. Every 25 minutes the blower goes on because the unit keeps losing temperature and the blower sounds like an airplane is taking off. The shocking part is that Webstaurant refuses to let me return it. Perhaps in a large noisy environment you won’t mind the noise but I am extremely unhappy with this purchase but Webstaurants policy is that once you open the box you cannot return it!! This is a terrible policy and I cannot recommend buying any large appliance from them until this policy is changed

We have had the fridge for less than three years and the unit has stopped cooling. I would say avoid or purchase the extended warranty, if possible.

Good value for the price. Mine arrived with a dent on the top corner that seemed to have happened during transport. Customer service took my complaint seriously and compensated fairly for the damage. Very satisfied overall.

The equipment ship on time .. great equipment , great support from the Supplier. Will order again The manufacture provide great support at time of deliver and installation

We have two of these fridges and they keep food a the correct temperatures and can hold up to 20 of our hotel pans. These are perfect for our business, and the steel makes for easy cleaning and polishing.

The fridge works great so far. It's a bit loud when the compressor first kicks on, but it is a commercial refrigerator, after all so that's to be expected. The shelves are sturdy and are easy to install. The main downside is the way it was packaged when it was shipped. You either need multiple people to lift the entire refrigerator off the pallets, which is unsafe, or you need a motorized forklift, which I can't imagine many kitchens have access to.

This fridge is good when it works. Since purchasing we have had to completely clear out the fridge about 6 times and remove the top cover where the coils are. We have had to melt a HUGE block of ice built up. Will recommend spending a couple more bucks and getting a better fridge.

This fridge was a great choice for our cookie shop! It is roomy enough to hold any dough we need as well as ingredients! Super easy to clean as well!

Avantco SS-2R-HC 54" Solid Door Reach-In Refrigerator has been a very useful fridge for us. We are happy with it and will buy again and again.

This unit required technician reprogramming. It was not holding temperature appropriately when initially received. It seems it was programmed with the old refrigerant settings applied to the controller.

You are really getting a great product for the price. So many of the other brands are twice as much but they do the same thing.

Wow what a great product!! Huge steal of a price for the performance it does. We just built a new kitchen with this as a replacement from a similar brand item. It was easy to install, land ready to use. Cleaning is a cinch!!

I really like this refrigerator. I agonized over several models for a long time before choosing this model and I'm glad I did. The bottom of the fridge is elevated and it makes it easier to get heavy boxes off the bottom without hurting your back. The digital readout is easy to see. I will recommend that you buy the rails because otherwise you can't put a full sized cookie sheet pan on the shelves and close the doors. The backs of the shelves have raised bump up to protect the back of the fridge and that prevents the cookie sheets to go in far enough for the doors to close. It's a great fridge!

very spacious and easy to assemble, it comes with the wheels uncovered so it was easy to fit through my kitchen door. there was a little leak on the inside but the warranty fix it quickly and with no extra cost.
